 Our School

St Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox School is an inclusive secondary school drawing on best practice from the independent and state sectors to meet the individual needs of the full range of students.

Our expertly-delivered, broad and balanced, traditional but contemporary curriculum aims to develop our students intellectually, socially, culturally, spiritually and morally.  With a focus on English, maths and science, we also offer classical subjects such as Latin and Greek and an exciting choice of extra-curricular activities.

The school is underpinned by our Christian values and, as the UK’s first state-funded Greek Orthodox secondary school, we are proud to be making our contribution to the high academic standards and values-based education with which Church schools are associated nationally. We welcome students of all faiths and none.

Our Aims

St Andrew the Apostle aims to:

  • Deliver a broad curriculum, academic excellence and exceptional progress across the ability range
  • Foster a spirit of kindness, tolerance and responsibility which allows each student to grow as an individual and a community member
  • Encourage more students to progress to university to study maths, sciences and the classical subjects
