Our site

Site

St Andrew the Apostle School currently occupies 'Block 5' on the North London Business Park (NLBP), which was originally used by Barnet College. We will use this building for three years while our permanent school is built at the front of the Park, bordering Brunswick Park Road.  RET, along with the governors and headteacher, have worked closely with NLBP’s owners and the Department for Education (DfE) to secure this site. Barnet Council and the local MP, Teresa Villiers, have all been enormously supportive of the school.

NLBP

Temporary Building

Our temporary building already has a kitchen, dining room, science laboratories and space for dance, drama, art and music as well as ample classroom space. Outdoor recreation, sport and social areas are also safely enclosed as part of the school site. The building is big enough for our needs for the first three to four years.  It has been redecorated, furnished and equipped for our founding students. We have installed new ICT facilities, drawing on the best practice in RET’s existing schools.

Permanent School Building

We plan to remain on NLBP permanently. Our specialist advisers from RET are in regular communication with the Council, DfE and the site owners, Comer Group, about the best way to develop our accomodation. We will eventually occupy the whole of the southern corner of the NLBP site, from the existing ‘Block 6’ down to Brunswick Park Lane. This is a beautiful site with plenty of room for a brand new school building with specialist teaching facilities and outdoor sport.
