Primary Transition

We take special care to support children moving from local feeder primary schools into Year 7, ensuring that every child joining our school at the start of Year 7 feels happy, confident and excited about what lies ahead.  As part of this process we offer support for crucial programmes like Every Child a Reader and Every Child Counts.

We will also work to improve outcomes in music and sport for our feeder primaries. Most importantly, we will form a close partnership with local primary schools to enable the transition to work smoothly and comfortably for all.

We know that many students who will be attending our school have already made significant progress in languages and will be ready for GCSEs as early as year 8. We will work closely with their primary and Saturday schools to ensure a seamless transition to their language learning with us.
