Extra Curricular

There will be many opportunities for students to become involved in the life of the school and church outside the classroom. There will be a wide range of extra curricular activities on offer, particularly focused on sports and music but there will also be clubs with links to the curriculum and others that arise from the particular interests of students and staff.

Sporting and Physical

There will be a full programme of sporting activities with teams competing regularly against other schools. These should include: Football, Basketball, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Tennis, Athletics, Volleyball, Dance, Gymnastics, Water Polo and Swimming.

Music and Dramatic Performance

Orchestra, Swing band, Choir and Drama club. There will be regular music and dramatic performances for parents and the wider community and the opportunity for all students to learn and practise a musical instrument.

Curriculum linked activities

These will include: Art, Science, Gardening, ECO Club, Homework, Library, Computing and Archaeology.

We will develop links with a number of schools in other countries, including exchange programmes to broaden our students’ experience.

The school’s learning resource centre would be open each day after school for private study and homework club.

Other clubs

These might include: Debating, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Model making etc.

Community Service

All students will be encouraged to have some involvement in community service (including service to local parish churches) during their time at school. This will be led by the School Council who will also represent students interests to the school's leadership team and governing body supported by year councils and form group representatives.
